Nurses begin industrial action at Galway hospital

Nurses at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, are commencing industrial action today as part of a dispute over the treatment of two managers.

The Irish Nurses Organisation says the two long-serving senior nurse managers have been disciplined for raising concerns about the health and safety of patients at the hospital.
