Mandate becomes latest union to back new pay deal
Members of Mandate trade union have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the proposed new national wage deal.
The union has around 50,000 based in the retail, wholesale and bar trade.
Several other unions have already announced today that their members have backed the deal, including the TEEU, the IBOA and UCATT.
Yesterday, Unite announced that its members had rejected the new pay terms.
The fate of the agreement will effectively be decided later today when SIPTU announces how its 250,000 members have decided to vote.
