McDaid unrepentant after cancer vaccine vote

Donegal TD Jim McDaid says he would have voted against the Government in this week's Dáil vote on the cervical cancer vaccination programme if such a move would have reversed Mary Harney's decision to scrap the scheme.

Mr McDaid was expelled from the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party on Tuesday night after abstaining from the vote on a Fine Gael motion calling for the reversal of the decision.
