EC vice-president in Ireland to promote Lisbon Treaty
The vice-president of the European Commission is beginning a two-day visit to Dublin that will be dominated by the ongoing fallout from Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty.
Margot Wahlstrom is due to appear before the special Oireachtas committee examining the effects of Ireland's 'no' vote in a referendum last June.
She will also hold talks with Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin and European Affairs Minister Dick Roche, as well as attending a number of other functions.
Tonight, Ms Wahlstrom will take part in a special webcast in which she will answer questions from members of the public about the Lisbon Treaty.
The webcast will be available at www.euireland.tv and questions can be submitted up until 6pm.
