Gardaí are questioning three men in connection with an armed raid on a cash-in-transit van in Dublin.

Two men held up security staff manning the van outside the TSB on Tyrrelstown Road at 11am this morning.

They escaped on a motorbike with a substantial amount of cash.

Half an hour later, gardaí arrested three men on the grounds of Cappa Hospital in connection with the robbery.

They are being held at Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations.

It's the second cash-in-transit robbery in 24 hours - yesterday morning, a sum of cash was stolen from a security van in Leixlip in Co Kildare.
