Novels by two Irish writers have been nominated for the 2009 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.

Novels by two Irish writers have been nominated for the 2009 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.

Anne Enright and Joseph O'Connor are both in the running for the €100,000 prize for their novels 'The Gathering' and 'Redemption Falls'.

'The Gathering' has already won the 2007 Man Booker Prize.

The IMPAC award winner will be revealed next June.
