Councils 'may have to reconsider development plans'
An Bord Pleanala has warned that local authorities around the country may have to reconsider certain aspects of their development plans.
The planning appeals body says councils need to take climate change, energy costs and heritage loss into consideration when planning for the future and some of them will have to "de-zone" some land.
It says some local authorities have zoned sites that are too far removed from developed areas and are too remote from public facilities and transport.
