Pharmaceutical Society warns of prescription drugs danger
The pharmacy regulator has urged people to be more aware of the dangers of taking medicine and getting behind the wheel.
Certain medication can impair judgement and cause drowsiness, the regulator said.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and the Road Safety Authority have launched a joint campaign on the problem.
President of the PSI, Dr Bernard Leddy, has urged people who are taking prescription or non-prescription medication to always check with their pharmacist before driving.
