Man critical after Dublin stabbing

A 24-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital in Dublin today after he was stabbed in Blanchardstown last night.

It happened just before 2am at Whitestown Gardens, when a row broke out between the man and a friend.

A 19-year-old has since been arrested and is being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station under section four of the criminal justice act.

Gardaí are now investigating the circumstances of the assault.
