Construction industry warns Govt against capital cuts

The Construction Industry Federation is warning the Government not to target infrastructure spending to make up for the Budget climbdowns it has had to make in the past two weeks.

The lobby group says it is worried that continued pressure on current expenditure from interest groups may prompt the Government to make cutbacks in capital spending instead.
