Dissident republicans form new ‘forum for unity’

Three republican groups opposed to the Good Friday Agreement have formed a new "forum for unity" and say they will be embarking on a series of public meetings to drum up support.

Three republican groups opposed to the Good Friday Agreement have formed a new "forum for unity" and say they will be embarking on a series of public meetings to drum up support.

The groups include the Irish Republican Socialist Party, linked to the INLA, and the 32-County Sovereignty Group, linked to the Real IRA.

In a statement, they say the proliferation of groups opposed to the Good Friday Agreement shows a growing number do not believe it will lead to national liberation.
