Dublin Rape Crisis Centre extends awareness campaign
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre is extending its awareness campaign as demand for the service grows.
Between 2001 and 2007 the number of people attending the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin more than doubled.
In August 40 victims attended the unit.
The organisation is extending its awareness campaign to nine other locations around the country including Athlone, Clonmel, Cork, Dundalk, Kerry, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Tullamore and Waterford.
