Gang attacks elderly man in Belfast

Police in the North are investigating an assault on a 55-year-old man by a gang of people in south Belfast last night.

Police in the North are investigating an assault on a 55-year-old man by a gang of people in south Belfast last night.

The victim was attacked by four men and two women at a house in the Raby Street area just before 10pm.

He was taken to hospital and treated for facial injuries.

The PSNI is investigating a motive for the attack, in which a 29-year-old woman was also hurt.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
