Man held in connection with Cavan hit-and-run

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Co. Cavan.

Twenty-six-year-old Johnathon Heagney from Dungannon in Co. Tyrone was killed when he was hit by an unknown vehicle that failed to stop at Kingscourt on Saturday.

The man who was arrested yesterday evening is being detained in Bailieboro Garda station under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act.
