Power has been restored to thousands of homes in south Belfast left without electricity after a fault with an underground cable, Northern Ireland Electricity said today.

Power has been restored to thousands of homes in south Belfast left without electricity after a fault with an underground cable, Northern Ireland Electricity said today.

The agency said the problem was reported shortly before 11pm and affected 4,400 homes in the Balmoral and Finaghy areas.
