Nursing leaders recommend pay deal

The leadership of the Irish Nurses Organisation is recommending acceptance of the new national pay deal.

The leadership of the Irish Nurses Organisation is recommending acceptance of the new national pay deal.

The executive of the union made its decision this afternoon.

This follows a series of regional meetings which considered the issue this week.

The INO's 40,000 members will now vote on the issue and the result will be known on November 14.

Meanwhile the union executive will meet again on Tuesday week to consider the impact of the budget on the health service.
