The Chinese and Irish authorities have negotiated an agreement that could create up to 4,500 financial jobs in Ireland over the next four years.

The Chinese and Irish authorities have negotiated an agreement that could create up to 4,500 financial jobs in Ireland over the next four years.

The agreement was finalised in Beijing this morning between the office of the Irish Financial Regulator and its Chinese counterpart.

The deal will allow Chinese institutions to invest in the Irish funds industry, which currently employs 15,000 people.
