A woman arrested by gardaí investigating the deaths of two firemen killed battling a warehouse blaze has been released without charge.

A woman arrested by gardaí investigating the deaths of two firemen killed battling a warehouse blaze has been released without charge.

Part-time firefighters Mark O’Shaughnessy, 26, and Brian Murray, 46, died when the roof of a disused factory on Lower Dargle Road in Bray, Co Wicklow, collapsed on them.

Detectives investigating their deaths, on September 26 last year, yesterday arrested a woman on suspicion of reckless endangerment.

A Garda spokesman said the the woman, who was aged in her 20s and believed to be a member of the fire service, was released around midnight.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

It is the second arrest in just over a month as part of a Garda and Health and Safety Authority (HSA) probe into how the part-time firefighters died.

A man in his 40s arrested last month was later released without charge while a file was being prepared for the DPP.
