The leadership of the Ireland's largest trade union is meeting in Dublin this afternoon to discuss whether to recommend acceptance or rejection of the new national pay deal.

The SIPTU meeting was initially due to take place last week, but was postponed amid widespread concern about the Government's plan to impose a new 1% income tax on all workers.
