Green councillors to discuss medical-card concerns

Green Party councillors from across the country are to hold a special meeting on Wednesday to discuss their concerns about planned changes in the over-70s medical-card scheme.

The Government has come in for widespread criticism following its decision to scrap the automatic entitlement to medical cards for everyone over the age of 70.
