Budget 'will lead to 1,200 teaching job cuts'

A Teacher's union says the Budget cuts in education will have a devastating affect on every secondary school in Ireland.

The TUI says the Government's estimate of 200 job losses in secondary schools is unrealistic and that the real figure is closer to 1,200.

The union says the losses will have a huge effect on both teachers and students in the country's 730 secondary schools.
