RSA campaign targets young drivers

The Road Safety Authority is holding the second 'European Night Without Accident' campaign tonight as part of road safety week.

The Road Safety Authority is holding the second 'European Night Without Accident' campaign tonight as part of road safety week.

The initiative is aimed at promoting responsible behaviour behind the wheel among young adults.

Volunteers will be encouraging people entering nightclubs in Clare, Cork, Donegal, Kildare and Mayo to nominate a designated driver.

This is the second year Ireland has participated in the programme which was launched in 1995.
