Body of woman found on rocks in Galway Harbour

The body of a woman in her 40s has been discovered in Galway Harbour this morning.

The body, which was found on rocks near the Enterprise Park, is believed to be that of a woman who fell into the River Corrib last night.

A post mortem examination will be carried out later today.

Gardai haven't released any details on the dead woman's identity, but a major search mounted last night has now been called off.
