Two held after gun and ammunition found

Two men were arrested after gardaí seized a revolver and ammunition during a raid on a house in Dublin.

Detectives swooped on the property on Cardiffsbridge Road, Finglas, north Dublin, yesterday evening.

The search was conducted as part of Operation Archer, set up a month ago to probe organised crime in the area.

The men, aged in their 40s, are being held at Finglas and Blanchardstown Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
