Dublin man admits dangerous driving causing woman's death

A Dublin man has admitted to dangerous driving causing the death of a woman almost two years ago.

Eric Doyle (aged 43) with an address at Whitechurch Avenue, Ballyboden, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of Ms Lily Hastings-Bass on the Rathgar Road on November 26, 2006.

Mr Dominic McGinn BL, prosecuting, requested the preparation of a victim impact report for the sentence hearing which has been set for next February.

Judge Katherine Delahunt remanded Doyle on continuing bail to that date when all evidence will be heard.
