Unions aghast as Aer Lingus to cut 1,500 jobs

Up to 1,500 jobs are to be lost at Aer Lingus in a drastic new cost-cutting plan, it was announced today.

The plan, which includes the outsourcing of all ground operations, was announced in a meeting with union representatives at Dublin Airport this afternoon.
