Ennis next to last in hospital ratings list
Ennis Hospital, which has been dogged by the cancer misdiagnoses controversy of late, has come in second last in an online league of hospitals.
St John's public hospital in Limerick topped the patient ratings. St John's A&E services are threatened with closure.
Kilkenny's Aut Even Hospital has been voted as the top private hospital in the country.
The Irishhealth.com ‘Rate my Hospital’ service was set up two years ago. Since then, 13, 700 patients and their relatives have appraised hospitals around the country.
The top five public acute hospitals in the league at present are St Johns in Limerick, followed by Temple Street in Dublin, Monaghan General, Mallow General and the Rotunda.
