Man injured in shooting incident at Cork house

A man in his mid-30s is recovering in hospital this morning after he was injured in a shooting incident in Cork last night.

A man in his mid-30s is recovering in hospital this morning after he was injured in a shooting incident in Cork last night.

The man was with his girlfriend and her two young children at a house in Knocknaheeny when shots were fired through the front window at around 9pm.

He is believed to have been hit in the shoulder and stomach.

He was rushed to Cork University Hospital, where his injuries are believed to be serious, but not life-threatening.

The woman and children were not injured in the shooting.
