Woman seriously injured in Longford road crash

A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after a car crash in Co. Longford.

The single vehicle crash happened near Toom Cross just after 3am this morning.

She is being treated at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar where gardaí say she is in a serious condition.

The Edgeworthstown to Ballymahon road is closed and motorists are being advised that diversions are in place.
