An oil tanker has gone off the road in Co Meath causing traffic diversions on the N2.

An oil tanker has gone off the road in Co Meath causing traffic diversions on the N2.

The tanker left the road earlier this morning, just north of Kilmoon cross.

The Ashbourne/Slane road has been closed off as Gardaí deal with the incident.

Motorists are advised that traffic is being diverted via Duleek, adding around 10 kilometres to the journey.
