Lenihan blames Irish economy's openness for recession

The Minister for Finance said today the openness of our economy had left us exposed now that the US is experiencing a downturn.

Brian Lenihan was speaking in the Dáil after the latest CSO figures revealed that our economy is now officially in a recession.
