Cork suspect devices declared false alarms
Two suspect devices in Cork have been declared false alarms.
Hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes in Arderin Way, in the city this morning after a suspect device was reported in a car.
The Army Bomb Disposal Unit attended the scene and carried out a controlled explosion.
The second incident occurred after a man handed a package into a school in Ballincollig, which was then passed on to Gardaí.
It was examined, found to be a false alarm, and the area was declared safe. A man in his forties was later arrested.
