Fears of more job losses in Cork
It is feared that more job losses are on the way in Cork with the news that staff at Tyco Sensormatic have been called to a meeting tomorrow where it's expected job cuts will be announced.
The electronics manufacturer, which assembles electronic anti-theft tags, currently employs 250 people at its plant in Bishopstown.
Last month the company announced it was conducting a worldwide review of its operations prompting fears for around 200 jobs.
It is understood the company is planning to move its operation to Central America.
This is the second jobs blow for Cork in 24 hours after it emerged yesterday that 150 jobs are at risk at food processing company Swissco in Little Island.
