More than 320 jobs were today axed at an electronics plant in Cork.

More than 200 workers at an electronics firm in Cork were today facing redundancy with management expected to blame spiralling costs for closure.

It is feared that more job losses are on the way in Cork with the news that staff at Tyco Sensormatic have been called to a meeting tomorrow where it's expected job cuts will be announced.

THE majority of the 250 jobs at Cork electronics manufacturer Tyco Sensormatic could be lost in the coming months.
