Coughlan orders review of FÁS spending controls
The Tánaiste and Enterprise Minister has reportedly ordered a review into the management of FÁS amid concerns about the agency's spending controls.
Reports this morning say Mary Coughlan has asked the Comptroller and Auditor General to look into the matter following a series of critical reports.
Internal audits have raised serious concerns about how FÁS spends public funds.
Ms Coughlan says she wants to ensure that the appropriate controls are in place to detect irregularities or wrongdoing and to ensure the efficient use of public resources.
