Marie Kilmartin murder: Three still being questioned

Three people remain in custody this morning in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Marie Kilmartin 15 years ago.

The two men and a woman, aged in their 40s and 60s, were detained yesterday in the Portlaoise area.

Ms Kilmartin, who was originally from Ballinasloe, was living in Portlaoise when she disappeared in December 1993.

Her body was found six months later in a bog drain near the Laois-Offaly border.

The mother-of-one had been strangled.
