Teen detained for eight months on 50th conviction

A 16-year-old boy, who was unable to resist the temptation to re-offend, was today detained for eight months on his 50th criminal conviction.

A 16-year-old boy, who was unable to resist the temptation to re-offend, was today detained for eight months on his 50th criminal conviction.

Judge Bryan Smyth heard at the Children’s Court that the boy had continued to offend after he was released from custody to appeal a sentence imposed in July last.
