Dead man 'may have been in fight'
Detectives probing the death of a man believe he may have been involved in a brawl more than two weeks earlier, it emerged today.
Bernard Larkin died at his home at Richmond Cottages, Dublin 3, on Friday.
However, the circumstances which led to the 50-year-old’s death are not yet known and gardaí at Store Street are said to be examining a number of lines of inquiry.
A garda spokesman said it is believed that Mr Larkin may have been involved in an altercation on August 28 between 4.30pm and 6pm at the junction of Store Street and Talbot Street and earlier in nearby public houses.
“Gardaí are keen to talk to anyone who may have been in Mr Larkin’s company on the 28th of August 2008 or who may have any information that could be of assistance,” he said.
