Watchdog unveils plan to tackle social deprivation

The State’s poverty watchdog today launched a three-pronged approach to tackle social deprivation during worsening economic times.

The Government-funded Combat Poverty warned against cuts to social services and increases in stealth taxes as Department of Finance officials tighten purse strings ahead of next month’s budget.
