The seventh day of talks is underway at government buildings, in a last-ditch effort to reach a national pay deal.

The talks broke up last night after eight hours of discussions. It is now expected the talks will run late into tonight.

On his way into the talks, IBEC's Turlough O'Sullivan said he was hopeful of a resolution.
