Man killed in suspected gangland shooting
A 24-year-old man was shot dead today in a suspected gangland murder in a bookmaker’s shop in Dublin.
A gunman walked into the betting office on Killester Avenue on Dublin’s north side and shot the victim in the head.
Gardaí said the attacker fled the scene on a motorbike.
It is the second gun murder in the capital this week after 27-year-old Christopher McDonagh was shot dead on Wednesday at his west Dublin home.
It is also believed to be the 13th gangland killing this year, one more than the total for the whole of last year.
