Grealish to stay with PDs - for now

Galway West TD Noel Grealish is remaining with the Progressive Democrats for the time being, following a meeting with his party leader last night.

The contents of deputy Grealish's talks with party leader Senator Ciaran Cannon have not been made public.

It is understood the PDs' only backbench TD expressed his unhappiness with the course the party is taking.

It has been widely speculated that Noel Grealish is about to join Fianna Fáil, leaving the PDs with only one TD - Health Minister Mary Harney.
