Man dies in Sligo crash

An elderly man has died in hospital, after a road crash in Co Sligo.

The two-car crash happened at Carrowcrory, Ballinafad, around 11.30pm on Thursday.

The man, who was in his mid 70s, was the sole occupant of one of the cars. He was brought to Sligo General Hospital, where he died early this afternoon.

Three men who were in the other car were also taken to Sligo General Hospital with minor injuries.
