Warning to users of barrier-free M50

The National Roads Authority has warned people against trying to avoid paying M50 tolls.

The E-flow system came into affect at midnight and the M50 is now barrier-free.

Motorists will now have to pay for their journeys either by purchasing a prepaid electronic tag or paying online through a video account.

Spokesperson for the NRA, Hugh Creegan, has warned people against trying to beat the new system

He said non-payment will result in serious penalties.
