Thousands of 'bed days' lost due to poor management

Fine Gael have claimed thousands of "bed days" are being lost in hospitals around the country every week because of poor management.

The party says 165,000 "bed days" were lost last year because of the delay between when a patient is deemed fit for discharge and when they actually leave the hospital.
