Weapon recovered in Roscommon murder investigation

Gardaí investigating the fatal stabbing of a Brazilian woman in Roscommon yesterday have recovered a weapon from a house close to the murder scene.

Detectives have not disclosed what type of weapon was recovered and say it is too early to link it with yesterday's killing.

A 30-year-old man is still being questioned by gardaí in connection with the stabbing on Lanesboro Street.

A post mortem is being carried out on the victim's body today.
