Three men held after gun seizure in west Dublin

Three men remain in garda custody this morning following the seizure of a gun and ammunition in west Dublin yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí say the men were arrested in the Ballyfermot area of the city as part of an ongoing operation targeting serious crime in the area.

The three, aged 20, 23 and 31, were held after two cars were stopped and searched on Sarsfield Road.

They are being questioned at Ballyfermot and Clondalkin garda stations.
