A post mortem is due be carried out today on a body recovered from the River Fergus in Ennis, Co Clare, yesterday.

A post mortem is due be carried out today on a body recovered from the River Fergus in Ennis, Co Clare, yesterday.

The remains are believed to be those of a 31-year-old Polish man who has been missing since getting into difficulty while swimming in a nearby river last week.

The body was located at the Railway Bridge in Ennis yesterday afternoon, just a few hundred metres from where the father-of-one was last seen alive.
