Elderly man killed in Kerry road accident

A 60-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Co Kerry.

The pedestrian was hit by a car at Scartaglen in Castleisland at 7pm last night.

He was rushed to Tralee General Hospital, where he later died.

The scene of the crash remains sealed off for technical examination.
