Martin calls for action in Georgia

Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin is today calling for urgent action to improve the humanitarian situation in Georgia.

Martin says he is extremely concerned about reports of violence and looting in the country.

The Minister is also calling for all armed forces to withdraw to their positions prior to the conflict.

The US President George W Bush has accused Russia of being a bully during the recent crisis over South Ossetia.
